Many Hands

Many Hands

The nature of giving, and the giving of nature, go hand-in-hand. What the earth gives us – and how we share that bounty – reflects a time-honoured tradition of sharing and caring.

Art is the thread that winds its way through my life. Painting first in oils, then in acrylics and watercolour…drawing, sewing, building – creating. Then I discovered the possibilities of glass. Its range of colours and textures, and the addition of new elements such as river stone, wood, antler and shells, all come together to create something new. I currently do my art glasswork under the name Northsoul Glass Studio, where I have in recent years been exploring the process of stained glass sculpture, fused glass, and painting on glass. I also opened Down to Earth Gallery, a small space in Yellowknife where, along with my own pieces, I sell works from over 30 Northern artists.

Dave Kellet

Dave took a stained glass course over 10 years ago, and now does work with stained, fused and recycled glass in a home studio. He has donated pieces for several fundraising efforts in Yellowknife. He has also given his time and various skills for many events and organizations over his 30 years of living in the North.
