My experience of living with a traumatic brain injury for the last 18 months, has taught me that learning to put aside my independence and pride, in order to gracefully receive the gifts of my community, can also be a beautiful gift.
Miranda Currie lives with her dog Kenzie in the Woodyard of Yellowknife. She is an artistic soul that likes to dabble in a variety of art forms. Growing up, she was taught, like many others, “that it is better to give than to receive.”
